Meet Our Team

The Ministerial Team of Root of Jesse Ministry International are individuals that have been called by God, they are being broken or are broken, and walk after the spirit and not after the flesh.

Apostle Rene' Hood was born in Wash., D.C., where she received her childhood education.  She holds a BA in Christian Studies and was inducted into the International Honor Society (Phi Theta Kappa). She has two biological children (De'Nina Rene' and Joshua Emmanuel).  She has also assisted in rearing 26 foster children. Rene' was called to the gospel ministry in 1978.  Licensed as a minister of the gospel in April 1983, she subsequently was ordained and given full rights of performance in the ministry in 1998.

She has a passion for the people of God and a special assignment to those incarcerated and women.  The Lord has used her both here and abroad.
You can read a short testimony of her battle with death in the book written by Peggy Joyce Ruth called Psalms 91.
